Increase in gas taxes, increase in medical insurance cost, no new teaching contract, and, to top that off, a new cell phone ban while driving. Today has been an expensive reminder of the cost of living (and working) in Hawai‘i.

Sumi came into my life shortly after Seuss was adopted from the pound. She was a stray off of the streets, finding refuge in Kurt’s garage.
It only took a few days for the two to get acquainted and have been inseparable ever since. Here are pictures from Sumi’s first days in our home.
