I fall into daily patterns and I suspect you do, too.
Morning routines. Routes to work. The apps I check on my phone. Which lights I keep on at night.
And then something happens, a life-changing event, that throws off all of my routines.
Renegotiate what time I wake up in the morning. An extra stop on the way to work. New this. Take out that. Change happens.
It’s all good.
It is amazing how well we can adapt to situations. It’s also amazing how much we resist change. But once we accept the changing patterns in our life, it becomes easier to transform ourselves from within to balance the external changes affecting what used to be to what is.
There have been waves of significant life changes for me over the past several months. I admit that it has been challenging to not fall completely off the face of the Earth and there have been times when I felt so overwhelmed with everything going on.
Rather than resisting all of these changes, I needed to embrace them as opportunities for growth, thoughtfully develop new routines, and keep moving forward.
I could have allowed the waves to knock me over as they passed by; rather, I chose to jump on each wave to live victoriously.
